CSV format
How to move readings into BP Rhythm from another diary, app or Excel spreadsheet.
In brief
- You need a CSV file: one row per reading, column names in the first row.
- Date, systolic and diastolic are required. Time, pulse and note are optional.
- In the app: Settings → “Export and import log” → “Import from CSV”. If the file is not from BP Rhythm, the app shows the “Match the columns” screen: check which column means what and see how the first rows will go into the log.
- Import is free. Loading the same file again does not create duplicates.
The simplest file
| Date | Time | Systolic | Diastolic | Pulse | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-09-01 | 07:30 | 132 | 85 | 68 | after waking up |
| 2026-09-01 | 19:05 | 141 | 90 | 74 | |
| 2026-09-02 | 07:42 | 128 | 82 | coffee |
Date,Time,Systolic,Diastolic,Pulse,Note
2026-09-01,07:30,132,85,68,after waking up

2026-09-02,07:42,128,82,,coffee
What the app understands by itself
- Column names in English and Russian: “Date”, “Time”, “Date/Time”, “Systolic”, “SYS”, “Diastolic”, “DIA”, “Pulse”, “HR”, “Heart rate”, “Note”, “Comment”, “Irregular heartbeat”. No names — columns are guessed from the values.
- Blood pressure in one column:
132/85(or132/85/68with pulse). - Dates:
2026-09-01,01.09.2026,09/01/2026and01/09/2026,Sep 1, 2026. If the file doesn’t show which is the day and which is the month, the app asks. - Time:
07:30,07:30:15,7:30 PM— in its own column or together with the date. Without a time the reading is placed at noon. - Separator — semicolon, comma or tab; encoding — UTF-8 or Windows-1251. Put text that
contains the separator in quotes:
"after waking up, sitting".
What will not go into the log
Rows without a date or blood pressure and with impossible values: systolic not between 60 and 300, diastolic not between 30 and 200, systolic not above diastolic, pulse not between 30 and 250, a date in the future. Before importing, the app shows how many rows are skipped and why, with row numbers. Readings already in the log (same blood pressure within a minute) are not duplicated.
How to prepare your file
- Export the history from your previous app — usually “Export” or “Share” → CSV or Excel.
- Open it in Excel or Google Sheets. Keep one header row, then one row per reading. Extra columns (weight, mood) can stay — just don’t choose them.
- Save: Excel — “File → Save As → CSV UTF-8”; Google Sheets — “File → Download → CSV”.
- Send the file to your phone and load it: Settings → “Export and import log” → “Import from CSV”.
Imported readings are marked “manual”: you can delete them from the log like readings entered by hand.
BP Rhythm log format
“Export to CSV” saves the whole log; the file opens in Excel and loads back without questions. UTF-8 with BOM, semicolon separator, oldest first. Column names are in Russian:
| Column | Contents |
|---|---|
| Дата | date, DD.MM.YYYY, phone time zone — for Excel |
| Время | time, HH:MM — for Excel |
| SYS | systolic, mmHg |
| DIA | diastolic, mmHg |
| Пульс | pulse, bpm; 0 — no pulse |
| Аритмия | arrhythmia: да (yes) or нет (no) |
| Уровень ВОЗ | level shown by the monitor (empty for manual readings) |
| Тонометр | monitor or source app name |
| MeasureTime | moment of the reading in unix seconds — the app reads the time from it |
| DataID | record id — prevents duplicates |
| Заметка | note |
| Метки | tags, comma-separated |
You don’t have to convert your file to this format: the columns from “The simplest file” are enough.
